bilingual

Since we have informed a few people of other tongue (than dutch duh) about this log it is only fair that we post some stuff in english as well!! so here goes..

We would like to invite anyone to post their invaluable tips/insights/ideas/suggestions as to where to go or what to do during our trip in South America!!

We have just spent a fantastic week in the galapagos and our now about to set sail (or shoe) towards Peru.. While were moving in that direction we will pay tribute to the great emerald lake of quilotoa before passing by baños, riobamba and cuenca. from there on we are a bit lost, where should we cross the border?? should we go via Loja or Vilcabamba.. or is it better to go via the coast crossing??

Anyway we would really like to read some of your experiences while crossing this beautiful country!! feel free to write usefull or 'just any-old-crap' info you want to share with us!!

Hey guys,
This site was forwarded to me today so had a quick look.Seems like such a great adventure, am very jealous ;-) If I would have known you went to Ecuador earlier, I would have send a million things to do and see (used to live there) - but I think I can help out with the going from Ecuador and Peru atleast.
Go to Cuenca and take a bus to the boarder of Ecuador/Peru (you can ask about the buses at the busstation). After crossing the boarder you can take a bus to Tumbes where you can overnight and continue to Lima or do trips to Chicalayo or Trujuillo.
Have a great time and i look forward to reading about it from time to time.

hey camilla, i could, and should, have remembered about your time in this part of the world but.. i didnt (stupid)!! thanks for the advise anyway.. We are first going to cuenca and from there on to vilcabamba. There we wil start our descend into peru, straight to chachapoyas.. then trujillo (did you hear north peru was hit by an 7.5 earthquake a few days ago?) and then... dont know yet!!

i guess the dutch blog (2xplore.blogspot.com) is no prob for you so you can read all about our adventures!! and send me or chantal your email (if you want) so we can ask you for more helpful info!! laters..
